2011 Panini Contenders Hobby Box

I know it’s been a while, but sometimes life gets in the way of collecting football cards.  I know that is really hard to believe.  But I’m back at it, full speed ahead.  And we are three weeks into the NFL season and I haven’t had one player come close to hitting on the stats needed for the 2016 Blowout Cards Season Long Player Contest.  And to top it off my best chance of winning the end of year award is out for the season, thanks to Adrian Peterson’s unfortunate knee injury.  Now my hopes are on Le’Veon Bell after missing 3 games and Dez Bryant really picking it up.  But I digress.

But here is the last of the 3 boxes that I randomly got with the contest.  It’s 2011 Panini Contenders.  Blowout cards no longer has any of these boxes available.  I also couldn’t find any on a few of the other notable websites, so I’m pretty pumped about opening up this box.

Box Configuration: 24 packs per box, 5 cards per pack
Price: $129.95 (sold out in most places)
Content Highlights:
Look for (4) Autographs, (1) Parallel, (3) ROY Contenders, (3) Draft Class, (3) Rookie Roll Call, (3) Legendary Contenders, and (3) Super Bowl Tickets in every box!!

I got all the inserts promised plus a redemption card of Alex Green RB for the Green Bay Packers.  (We’ll see what they send me.)  And here are the hits from this pretty sweet box.

2011 Panini Contenders Legendary Contenders #14 Barry Sanders 093/100

2011 Panini Contenders Rookie Ticket #159 Bruce Miller Autograph

2011 Panini Contenders Rookie Ticket #145 Josh Portis Autograph

2011 Panini Contenders Rookie Ticket #156 Marcus Gilchrist Autograph

2011 Panini Contenders Rookie Playoff Ticket #101 Terrelle Pryor 04/99

2011 Panini Contenders Rookie Ticket #228 Cam Newton Autograph (On Card)

This card made the whole box.  I’m pretty sure I’ll be keeping this one, although I’m seeing it listed on eBay for $250.  That’s pretty tempting.  All except the Cam are up for trade.  I’ve also got a bunch of base cards and a few inserts if you are looking to complete a set.  Let me know.
