The Loot Locker – October Edition

Over the weekend I got my October Loot Locker.  I always have a hard time not ripping them open as soon as I get the box, just like when I was a little kid but I had a bunch of other stuff to go through and some real life to take advantage of.  Contenders was replaced by a pack of Donruss.  But here we go again, check out what I pulled. The Loot Locker – September Edition

Here we go again….The September Loot Locker came in the mail today and while it’s a little late this month, it was nice to have it arrive on a day I’m off from work. So let’s just dive into this month’s box. As usual it contained some card sleeves and top holders along with the a few pieces of candy. I’m still waiting on one of those bonus boxes. 2011 Panini Contenders Hobby Box

I know it’s been a while, but sometimes life gets in the way of collecting football cards.  I know that is really hard to believe.  But I’m back at it, full speed ahead.  And we are three weeks into the NFL season and I haven’t had one player come close to hitting on the stats needed for the 2016 Blowout Cards Season Long Player Contest.  And to top it off my best chance of winning the end of year award is out for the season, thanks to Adrian Peterson’s unfortunate knee injury.  Now my hopes are on Le’Veon Bell after missing 3 games and Dez Bryant really picking it up.  But I digress. But here is the last of the 3 boxes that I randomly got with the contest.  It’s 2011 Panini Contenders.  Blowout cards no longer has any of these boxes available.  I also couldn’t find any on a few of the other notable websites, so I’m pretty pumped about opening up this box. 2011 Topps Inception Football

So last week I wrote about the 2016 Blowout NFL Season PLAYER Promo.  None of my players (Steelers RB, Cowboys WR, or Vikings RB) hit any of the weekly milestones so I didn’t win any money towards more cards. But I did open the 2011 Topps Inception. As I said in my last post I couldn’t wait to rip open the Silver packs that I got with my Classics 2-team case break from Dave and Adams Card World.  After sorting through all of the Cowboys and 49ers I slowly opened the 4 silver packs.  3 skinny ones and a thick one.  Without further delay… Tom Brady Andrew Luck Dallas Keuchel Roger Clemens Mark McGwire Josh Doctson – Rookie 172/499 James Harden – Representatives 08/25 Noah Vonleh – Panini Patch Autograph Not too bad for a few bonus cards.  Now get out there and open up one more pack.

2016 Panini Classics Case Break

I’ve been wanting to do this for a while now.  I’ve tried other breaks and didn’t really think it was worth the value but when I saw this one and had to take a chance.  Also I like giving Dave and Adam’s Card World my business for a couple of reasons, first they have great customer service and second, they are a Buffalo company.  It was just under 30 dollars for one team for an entire case break.   The break was happening live from the National Sports Collectors Convention in Atlantic City.  Each spot also came with 2 Panini NSCC Silver Packs.  I bought two spots. As they randomly selected the teams, I hoped for Buffalo as one my teams but it wasn’t meant to be.  And with my luck, I got the two teams I’m not a fan of.  But they both had some value.  The Cowboys (with super rookie Ezekiel Elliott) and the 49er with the possibility of pulling a Jerry Rice or Joe Montana autograph.  I tried to Trade the 49ers for the Bills or Panthers but there were no takers.  The live break started at Noon and took about 2 hours to complete the entire case.  They […]

Repack – Another Try

So I stopped by the local Target and picked up some cards yesterday.  I saw this $12 repack and thought I’d take another shot and see what I’d pull.  It says 10 packs.  They are all retail packs, but here is the rundown.
