2011 Panini Contenders Hobby Box

I know it’s been a while, but sometimes life gets in the way of collecting football cards.  I know that is really hard to believe.  But I’m back at it, full speed ahead.  And we are three weeks into the NFL season and I haven’t had one player come close to hitting on the stats needed for the 2016 Blowout Cards Season Long Player Contest.  And to top it off my best chance of winning the end of year award is out for the season, thanks to Adrian Peterson’s unfortunate knee injury.  Now my hopes are on Le’Veon Bell after missing 3 games and Dez Bryant really picking it up.  But I digress. But here is the last of the 3 boxes that I randomly got with the contest.  It’s 2011 Panini Contenders.  Blowout cards no longer has any of these boxes available.  I also couldn’t find any on a few of the other notable websites, so I’m pretty pumped about opening up this box. 2011 Topps Inception Football

So last week I wrote about the 2016 Blowout NFL Season PLAYER Promo.  None of my players (Steelers RB, Cowboys WR, or Vikings RB) hit any of the weekly milestones so I didn’t win any money towards more cards. But I did open the 2011 Topps Inception. 2016 Blowout NFL Season PLAYER Promo

So I was perusing the internet one day and came across this promotion by Blowout Cards.  It’s kind of like fantasy football with awards for your players doing well.  I’ve bought boxes from Blowout Cards in the past and thought I take a chance at one of these contests.  It was pretty expensive but I’m hoping it will totally be worth it.  It’s a pretty interesting contest.  You pay for a spot, either $199.95 for one player or $549.95 for three players.  Each player comes with a random box of cards.  And if that player (or his backup) hits certain levels of performance you get gift cards to Blowout Cards.  For example the person that owns the running back with the most yards at the end of the season gets a $1000 to spend at Blowout Cards.  There are both weekly and yearly awards.  All of the details are right here. I dropped the $550 on three players and it turned out pretty well.  Here is the breakdown of the players I will be following closely this season.
